Project Development Manager / Oman

We are working with a dynamic, environmentally focused technology company who are based in Muscat, Oman. The company are pioneering Carbon Capture and Mineralization technologies to drive through their strategy, ethos and mission to reduce carbon emissions.


The team have engaged us for an exclusive search for a Project Development Manager based out of Muscat. Responsible for leading the development of companies mineralization hubs in Oman and subsequently scaling to other territories. The role requires sound engineering knowledge and practice with innovative thinking to deliver systems and processes that are safe, functional, and reliable, with high consideration for sustainability and environmental protection.
This role involves management of project execution, resources, schedules, procurement, budgeting, risks, and safety regulations throughout the development phases. The role will also involve active engagement with DAC and PSC technology partners, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.


What will the role encompass?

* Creation and execution of project work plans, packages and bid proposals for on-surface and sub-surface infrastructure development
* Managing all aspects of project development using planning, monitoring, and controlling processes
* Managing and oversee all the technical aspects of the projects
* Propose, review, and approve project expenditures, budgets, and schedules
* Management of engineering teams, consultants, and contractors throughout project lifecycle
* Identify engineering resource and training requirements to grow and achieve project objectives
* Manage project stage gateway reviews and attainment of conditions precedent to such approvals
* Drive clear and open communication with project team members and functional groups
* Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence

* Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or business management
* Having 5+ years of relevant project management experience in Oil and Gas industry
* Experience in Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) projects is desirable
