Deputy (UG Coal Mining) / Australia

This role will mostly require those interested to be based onsite with flexible rosters and provide relocation assistance in a bustling and family orientated community in rural NSW. In efforts to continue the successful operation and production of the mine, we would be looking for those who can make themselves available immediately

About The Role
An exciting opportunity for a Deputy to provide general supervision in an underground mine setting to ensure that it complies to health & safety standards and workers are competent to maintain the integrity of operations

Duties/Responsibilities

• Investigation of workplace incidents and report on these accordingly
• Maintain effectiveness of work procedures
• Conduct and coordinate physical inspections of the mine
• Continual awareness of workers activities/location on mine site and always manage risks
• Working knowledge in WHS matters and train and instruct relevant parties

Competencies

• Over 5 years of practical experience in underground
• NSW 3rd Class Certificate of competency or higher (Cert IV UG Coal Mining)
• Ability to manage a large work force and delegate tasks
• Great time management skills
• Experience in delivery of production targets
