Projects Superintendent/ Principal: Project Engineering  
Reporting into the mining General Manager your role will be to be providing a key role in the function of a global Tier 1 Mining project, the roles scope is to Successfully executively project manage, and co-ordinate a shared resource pool of specialist teams, and personnel, working on multiple projects at various stages of delivery.

• Manage multimillion-dollar contract value construction projects
• Managing primary contractor/EPC as primary client point of contact
• Recruitment, training and management of large engineering and projects team overseeing complex multi-disciplinary construction projects up to $ 1 Billion USD
• review the deliverables to ensure safety, suitability, and constructability
• manage the project CIR and ensure actions from external reviews are implemented and closed out on time
• liaise between the design consultant, ground support contractor and CIR to ensure required information is available so schedules and budgets can be achieved, civil review as required
• Project management of multi disciplinary engineering functions in all projects Mechanical, Electrical and civil contractors
• RFQ, Tender and award process for all projects

Qualifications/Experience:

• Civil/Geotechnical/marine/mining or related Engineering Degree
• At least 10 years’ experience in:
  • open pit slope design
  • civil works for ground support design
  • an operational open pit mine infrastructure experience
  • Project management
  • Contractor management
