Contract: Senior Project Engineer (Civil) - PNG / Papua New Guinea

Senior Projects Engineer (Civil) ($1300- $1500 a day)
Reporting into the Senior superintendent for mine projects your role will be to be providing a key role in the function of a global Tier 1 Mining project, the roles scope is to Successfully project manage, and co-ordinate a shared resource pool of specialist teams, and personnel, working on multiple projects at various stages of delivery.

• Manage multi million-dollar contract value construction projects
• Managing primary contractor/EPC as primary client point of contact
• review the deliverables to ensure safety, suitability, and constructability
• manage the project CIR and ensure actions from external reviews are implemented and closed out on time
• liaise between the design consultant, ground support contractor and CIR to ensure required information is available so schedules and budgets can be achieved, civil review as required

Qualifications/Experience:

• Civil Engineering Degree
• At least 10 years’ experience in:
  • open pit slope design
  • civil works for ground support design
  • an operational open pit mine
  • Project management
