NES Fircroft are proud to represent our client on their search for a – Senior Electrical Engineer.
Qualifications and professional memberships:
Required:
Preferred:
- Awareness of laws, regulations, standards, processes (including HAZOP process)
and procedures appropriate to the area supported.
- Current experience of design and detailing (appropriate to the discipline) of plant
and equipment, including regulations, standards and operating environment
influences.
- Knowledge of relevant design tools, techniques and related methods, e.g. IT
systems.
- Ability to produce engineering designs from concept through to detailed design for
manufacture.
Accountabilities:
When acting as Engineering Lead for the project or work package:
- Compliance of assigned engineering deliverables with customer technical
requirements and company procedures
Responsibilities:
When acting as Engineering Lead for the project or work package:
1. Production of concept designs and fully engineered design solutions.
2. Production of detail design drawings in accordance with applicable design
codes and standards.
3. Interfacing with external suppliers for the sizing and selection of proprietary
items.
4. Carry out design scoping calculations to underpin key design elements.
5. Application of CAD operating systems, e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.
6. Participation in technical reviews and risk assessments.
7. Translating user requirements and technical specifications into design
solutions.
8. Inputting to engineering documentation.
Location: Chorley or Whitehaven - hybrid working is available
Rates: Competitive and negotiable based on experience

- Engineering Technician (EngTech)
Preferred:
- HNC or above
- 3 years’ experience working in design engineering.
