Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager / Australia

You will be joining a collaborative team in Melbourne and working on civil projects including road infrastructure and utilities. We can consider Senior Estimators or Estimating Managers for this role depending on experience.

Role & Responsibilities 

• Responsible for preparing, managing and coordinating all aspects of tendering and estimating processes, specifications and documentation
• Develop and prepare risk and opportunity analysis of tenders, feasibilities and budgets for projects and present these to internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Be successful in Tenders by providing smart methodologies, strategies and identifying opportunities that allow a competitive edge and secure contracts.
• Ensuring legislative, pre-contract obligations are met
• Involved in contract and tender administration and business development.
• Comply with Company Integrated Management Systems and Procedures along with other relevant operating procedures.
• Establish project cost budgets for upcoming packages of work.
• Prepare feasibility studies for review for upcoming packages of work.
• Maintain databases of actual costs/estimates, unit rates, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure estimates and costing's are based on best value prices, quality and delivery. 

About you

• 7+ years’ experience in the Civil Construction industry in estimating
• A mix of project and estimating experience is ideal
• First principle estimating experience
• Experience with the development of subcontractor work packages and review
• Exposure to Expert Estimation is desirable
