We are looking to recruit a Program Manager on a permanent basis to provide professional services to manage the clients Process Solutions from medium to large industrial automation system suite of projects.
Key responsibilities include; the delivery of solutions in compliance with customer specifications and contractual agreements, leading cross functional teams to ensure successful delivery within quality, budget and schedule, daily engagement and teaming with customers, project team members, sales and marketing, project operations, factories and management to ensure customer satisfaction, excellence in delivery and overall project performance, as well as managing project scope and change, and accurate forecasting and reporting of the current and future performance of all assigned projects. This also includes the management of the interdependencies between the projects on the Program.

· Engineering Degree (essential)
· Post graduate qualifications in related disciplines are desirable
· Post-graduate Project Management studies and/or Project Management Institute Professional (PMP) accreditation

This also includes the management of the interdependencies between the projects on the Program.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Overall accountability for the delivery of projects to the required quality, safety, schedule, and budget.
- Effectively manage scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, resources, communications, commercials, contract, and procurement (includes invoicing and billing), and internal and external stakeholders, on the assigned suite of projects.
- Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to assigned project personnel.
- Drive the client’s safety culture through demonstrated understanding, commitment and action supporting the organization’s safety and environmental requirements/regulations and ensure project personnel observe and operate both the clients and customer safe systems of work, complying with all legislation and safety requirements.
- Manage customer relationships.
- Manage effective communications with all project stakeholders.
- Manage risks and regular communication of risks to management.
- Manage detailed planning and scheduling of the projects.
- Provide regular reporting on all aspects of the project including project progress and accurate revenue and margin forecasts.
- Report on project progress and relevant issues on a regular basis.
- Proactively work with the sales & operations team to provide execution strategy, estimate review, risk assessment for new sales opportunities.
- Perform other related project management and program management duties, as directed.

- Deliver to the financial objectives for the projects, including margin improvement, forecasting accuracy, cash flows and growth

- Demonstrable leadership & management experience in a professional engineering environment
- 10+ years relevant Project Management experience with industrial automation projects.
- Proven track record in professional project management and delivery of large scale, technology-based projects to the process industries
- Understanding of business, technology and external environment
- Domain knowledge in one or more key vertical markets (Mining and Metals, Oil & Gas, Refining)
- Working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
- Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated business sense
