An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health and Safety (HES) Specialist to join the Safety Services team with our client a Global Oil and Gas Operator.
You will be working with a small team based in Perth, with site travel required. Contribute to two of Australia’s largest liquified natural gas projects.
Key responsibilities include:

Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Wheatstone IOC role, in supporting Wheatstone maintenance campaign works
- Supporting ABU turnaround activities as required
- Providing leave cover for site Health & Safety or Health & Safety/Emergency Management roles
- Executing site audits, inspections or field safeguard assurance activities as assigned.
- Working closely with the Process Safety, HSE Planning & Performance, Safety Services and Produce Environment teams as required.
- Working across the updated OE Management System with a focus on serious incident prevention efforts and Human and Organizational Performance
- Leading and/or supporting asset and functional HSE projects from time to time
- Supporting incident investigation, including participating in, or facilitating the companies approved Incident investigation methodologies (e.g., 5-Whys, SAFE, Y-tree and Learning Teams) as required
- Supporting HAZIDs, including participating in or facilitating as appropriate
- Qualification in Health & Safety
- 10+ years’ experience in health & safety, with at least 5 years in the oil and gas / liquefied natural gas industry
- Required to be ‘site active’ with frequent site assignments to execute work scopes.

- Demonstrated ability to provide sound technical and risk-based advice on safety and health risks
- Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships which contribute to business results
- Demonstrated commitment to the clients’ values of diversity and inclusion, high performance, integrity and trust, partnership and protecting people and the environment
