The valued client, a large Oil & Gas company are seeking an Business Analyst (Intermediate) to join their team on a long term contract basis.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to general privacy inquiries from individuals and teams across the company
- Perform various administrative functions including Privacy Office file management
- Fulfill Personal Information Requests in a timely manner
- Monitor and address unsubscribe requests to ensure compliance with anti-spam legislation
- Review contracts to ensure they contain protection of personal information provisions, including engaging the Legal team as required
- Support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and related activities, including those to satisfy privacy statement and consent requirements
- Participate in communication and training initiatives
- Facilitate the company’s understanding of privacy requirements and the rationale for Privacy Office activities and initiatives
- Collaborate with a variety of groups including IS, Internal Audit, Supply Chain and Legal in support of the privacy program, as well as to coordinate the work of these groups as they relate to mandated privacy activities
- Provide backup to other Analysts within the Privacy Office team
- Complete other tasks, as required
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to compliance, ethics, and protecting personal information
- Collaborative approach, with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills, with ability to handle multiple projects on a timely basis
- High degree of initiative and ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with minimal supervision
- Ability to work both in a collaborative team environment, and independently
- Strong computer skills, including comfort with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams) Ability to quickly adapt to changing deadlines and shifting priorities
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn, problem solve, meet deadlines, and accomplish tasks
Education and Experience:
- Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma preferred; Grade 12 education required
- Strong understanding of compliance and ethics principles including privacy and protection of personal information
- International Association of Privacy Professionals (“IAPP”) certification, e.g., CIPP/C, preferred
- At least 5 years of related experience required
