Directional Driller / Azerbaijan

The client, a renowned oil and gas services company, is looking to hire an experienced Directional Driller to join their team in Baku, Azerbaijan. You will perform directional drilling services and promote Client's Well Construction Division culture. You will plan, execute, and manage all phases of a directional drilling job to deliver services that meet Client expectations and Well Construction Division standards. You will also provide technical support to clients and other Well Construction Division crew members at the wellsite. Finally, you will partially be responsible for the training and development of subordinates while at the wellsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Manages personal development and keeps informed on current Client's Well Construction Division technology and strategy.
•    Meets and maintains all minimum OFS Safety Training Coefficient (STC) requirements and job related STC.
•    Mentors less experienced personnel.
•    Fully responsible for job execution, demonstrates knowledge of all DD techniques and all surveying methods used in the location including, but are not limited:
       - BHA makeup preparation and approval
       - Being present on rig floor
       - During Well Construction Division related or critical operations
       - Ensuring that equipment and services run within operating specifications and performing service QC.
•    Develops expertise on advanced well planning techniques using software.
•    Documents all Incident / accident events on the job, and at the office, in Quest.
•    Assists clients by providing solutions for drilling issues.
•    Prepares end of well reports / client’s final product delivery.
•    Acts as the Well Construction Division - client focal point for drilling operations at the rig site.
•    Effectively manage inventory and supplies required at the well site.
•    Ensures all Well Construction Division reporting requirements are fulfilled accurately and on a timely basis
•    Follows up failures with the maintenance team and ensures failure reports are closed with clients.
•    Follows and complies with all Client's SQ, HSE and IT standards, wears all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
