Estimating Manager / Australia

This building company has been in Sydney for over 10 years and builds 200 homes a year. They have a presence in both Sydney and the Hunter/Newcastle areas. They have a growing team of 4 in the estimating department and require someone to help oversee all work and staff performance. 

They are conveniently located in western Sydney and have a tight-knit, friendly working culture. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Estimators in both sales and production estimating 
• Negotiate with suppliers as per company policies
• Analyze tender submissions and prepare documentation to suppliers
• Maintain prefers suppliers agreements
• Review supply rates with bill of quantity structures
• Work with site staff to ensure smooth running of projects 
• Experience managing procurement policies and negotiating contracts and supply agreements with housing suppliers, contractors and subcontractors is ideal 

Requirements for the role:

• Trade or Tertiary Qualifications (building)
• Experience working for a residential builder (custom or volume)
• Experience working on house & land packages, spec homes, contract housing or similar
• Databuild experience (or similar estimating experience)
• A solid understanding of the Australian Building Industry
• A flexible approach to work and a willingness to be involved in growing the business
