Contract: Senior Procurement/Contracts Specialist / Canada

The client is currently seeking a Senior Procurement/Contracts Specialist to work a contract role in Canada.  This person can be remote but will have to travel to Regina, SK approximately once a month. This is a long-term contract with the potential to be extended.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience negotiating complex contracts.  The expectation is for the individual to suggest and add value while an RFP process is thought of. It is extremely important that the individual understands the following:

• Contracting templates
• Contract evaluation, negotiation, and formation
• Post Award Contract Management
• Contract change management

There isn’t a specific title yet, but the individual must be a very experienced dealing with contracts and procurement. Must possess the maturity to understand the connection between Contracting / Procurement and bottom line of the company.

Required Qualifications:

• Experienced procurement/contract/project management professional (10+ years’ experience)
• Experience with large industrial, mining or oil and gas projects (over $500 million)
• Experience working with large EPC firms and negotiating multimillion-dollar contracts
• Coordinate with Legal and Procurement leadership and Project Managers on contracting and procurement strategies for these projects
• Experience with request for proposal/sourcing processes for large engineering and construction projects
