The client a major Oil & Gas operator are currently looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team based on site in Algeria
The 2 sites are conventional Oil field located onshore in Algeria. Role will be a contract based role working on a 28 day on 28 day off rotational basis in country.
Role overview The principal role is to provide engineering and project management support to the two site locations consisting of a department of multi discipline engineers. Management of the interface between GB and relevant design engineering contractors and to ensure implementation of engineering related activities.

Responsibilities
- Site wide support on all Electrical systems.
- Review, develop and incorporate maintenance procedures for all electrical systems.
- Develop Electrical preventative maintenance procedures
- Assist in Electrical maintenance, fault finding
- Assist in shutdown execution works.
- Review Electrical Projects and commissioning.
- Cataloguing of new electrical items into CMMS
- Perform Technical Bid Evaluations for electrical equipment and components offered by external vendors during GB procurement process.
- Maintenance representative Electrical, working with 3rd party auditors to ensure that the facility complies with International Best Practice in terms of codes and standards as directed by Algerian Government.
- Mentoring, assessment, training and developing the competence of Electrical technicians through on-the-job training, classroom lessons, coaching, assessment and feedback.
- Maintaining technical competence and compliance to GB procedures and HSE standards.
- Develop maintenance procedures for installed and commissioned Process Control Systems.
- Provides electrical engineering expertise plus consultation and technical guidance to maintenance teams and contractors.
- Ensure compliance to specifications and documentation of site engineering changes under management of change.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- At least 8 years’ experience in the maintenance of Electrical equipment within oil and gas production facilities.
- Experience working on similar operated producing projects
- Previous rotational and international working environment experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team of technical staff, to work with the maintenance department management of an organization, and to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Detailed understanding of ATEX management
- Experience of working on both LV and HV switching
- Current knowledge of international electrical standards
