Contract: Project Engineer / India

A Leading Company in Belgium for EPC project into Petrochemical Plant is looking for a position of  "Project Engineer" . Project One is managed by an Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT) which consist of the company and Program Management Contractor engineers ,and 4 Project Delivery Teams (Pillars) which will manage the work scopes and EPC contractors.

Specific Role Requirements:
• Degree qualified and chartered or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline.
• More than 15 years’ experience in Engineering role it Oil and gas or Petrochemical setting. Operations experience would be a significant advantage.
• Seasoned and experienced Engineer. 
• Work will be based in local Contractors office in India but occasional travel to other locations in Europe will be required.


Work Experience:
• Major project experience with strong design engineering/procurement background and a broad understanding of multiple disciplines and their interfaces
• Proven track record of delivering leading SHE performance
• Experience of supervising work in a Contractor’s Design Office

B. Purpose of the job:
• Working with a team of project engineers act as focal point with the Execute contractor
   for the Outside Battery limit scope (OSBL) to ensure that the project cost, schedule and
   quality remain on track.

C. Environment / Context:

• The largest overall construction project undertaken by the company.
• Ensure the technology selected and the plant constructed meet the key deliverables of the business

• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation
• Purchasing environment including availability of engineering and construction
   companies as well as of material
• Labour market – availability of quality, reliable personnel / contractors
• Site partner relationships, if any.

D. Accountabilities of the job:
• Monitor and support the document flow from the local contractor team in India to the OSBL
   project delivery team and vice versa.
• Ensure document distribution to the disciplines and ensure review in the agreed timeframe.
• Ensures Project reviews and follow up / timely close out of all actions from meetings including
   P&ID, HAZOP, LOPA, 3D reviews.
• Work with discipline engineers and local Contractor team to optimize the design
• Leads internal meetings and supports meetings with Contractor local team.
• Report on local resourcing issues
• Act as focal point in Chennai / Kolkata
• Interface between local contractor team and Reading home basis.
