Contract: Mechanical SME Engineer / South East London

We are delighted to be partnering with a Chemical manufacturing giant for the appointment of an Mechanical SME Engineer  for a major new build work scope.

The role will be working for the client overseeing Design work by an assigned EPC contractor in Madrid Spain. The roles will offer a long term contract duration and the opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to join a multi $billion project at the very first stages.

About Project 
The client has committed to making major multi $billion investment in new production facilities in the Middle East region. It will be the first plant of its kind in the region when it starts up 2025.

Role Overview 

• Oversee EPC contractor FEED and Detailed Design activities 
• Lead and oversee the development of the following philosophies and guidance, based on existing Project
• review of vendor detailed specifications and drawings
• Review mechanical datasheets created by FEED Engineering

Qualifications and Experience needed

• Minimum 10 years exp delivering multi $billion mega projects from initial conception through all phases of lifecycle, covering FEED, Detailed Design, Construction, Commissioning and Handover.
• Mechanical engineer focus in rotating equipments

About role
The role will spend a considerable amount of time working on behalf of the client in FEED contractor offices, overseeing Engineering Design works.
FEED phase is due to run until early 2024. 

Exp required
• Degree qualified – Engineering discipline
• Excellent exp overseeing Design works from FEED onwards
• Previous exp working on Oil & Gas upgrade projects is required
• Ideally candidates will have Middle East exp as well
• Must have right to work in Europe already to be considered for role
