The valued client is seeking an Automation Cloud Analyst for a yearlong contract in Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities:
- Support of Azure, and other cloud service offerings and technologies including but not limited to:
- Key Vault
- Data analytics
- Compute and networking services
- Storage services
- Event Hub
- Provide continuous improvement and create value opportunities within IS operations, automating manual workflow processes and tasks
- Support and maintain all automation OS patching, vulnerabilities, and upgrades
- Create and update as-built infrastructure documentation and knowledge base articles
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems
- Support and maintain alerting and monitoring of key infrastructure components
- Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or related
- 5 + years of experience as a cloud administrator, architect, or analyst with hands-on experience supporting Azure or AWS.
- Experience of deployment, management, and governance of Azure IaaS and PaaS resources.
- Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code and modern practices
- Hands-on experience migrating customers to the cloud and designing DevOps operational processes, deployment checklists
- Experience in large scale enterprise Cloud projects from ideation to finished production
- Demonstrate comprehensive troubleshooting tactics
- AWS or Azure certification is an asset
- Experience utilizing scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
- Working knowledge with infrastructure technologies such as Windows/Linux/Unix Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, NetApp
- Understanding of the following core cloud service components:
- core architectural components
- compute and networking services
- storage services
- identity and security services
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem- solving abilities
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Azure networking concepts and technologies (NAT, DNS, firewalls, basic routing, load balancing)
- Familiarity with general security practices such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, multi-factor authentication, security information and event management (SIEM), and supporting technologies
- Relevant certification from one of the following: AWS, Azure
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring would be an asset
- Experience with Ansible, Azure PaaS, Terraform, and MS Orchestrator would be an asset
