Contract: Infrastructure Technical Lead / Basrah

Infrastructure Technical Lead – 12 Months Contract (28 x 28 rotation) – Iraq

All flights, accommodation, food, healthcare, visa to work in Iraq, medical will all be paid for.

Essential: - MCSA / MCSE / MCITP / MCE / MCA - Server centric discipline. Minimum of 15+ years overall IT industry experience. Experience in Technical Team Lead role.  Azure, Enterprise Architecture and scalability. Data Centre, Hyperconverge, virtualization, Storage, SQL, Office 365, best practices regarding systems security measure, Exchange, Windows operating system environment, servers and workstations.

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead a team of engineers supporting IT&C systems, hardware, software and peripherals, and to ensure that these systems enable the effective and efficient delivery of business objectives.

 Additionally, this position is charged with undertaking various project work in coordination with the Digital Design Team and providing input and implementation assistance with strategic development plans.

• Work closely with Digital Design, Applications, Field Communications and Digital Workplace Teams to provide excellent customer support to the business and deliver new projects.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, maintain, upgrade, and support servers, storage, operating systems and software.
• Provide proactive monitoring of capacity, performance and optimisation, taking remediation action as necessary.
• Implement and maintain backups, security, and redundancy strategies
• Ensure compliance to all disaster recovery plans
• Identify risks to service delivery, recommend options to address risks and execute approved options.
• Lead activities to recover from incidents and complete subsequent problem management and Root Cause Analysis.
• Prepare roadmaps including upgrade paths and end of sale/end of support information.
• Consider, recommend & implement procedures to improve efficiency
• Manage contracts with vendors and software licenses
• Maximize value from Infrastructure Services Contracts.
• Manage team of system engineers, compliance specialists and other IT staff
• Resolve issues escalated by technicians and engineers
• Mentor and train other engineers
• Provide a structured weekly report that monitors progress on Incidents, Projects, Key Activity and Management Information

Infrastructure Technical Lead to have excellent knowledge of:

• Enterprise Architecture and scalability
• Data centre operations and technologies
• Hyperconverge products and services
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V)
• Storage technologies (FC, SAN, NAS, DAS, iSCSI)
• SQL setup, administration and standardisation particularly in dense SQL cluster environments
• Office 365 in the enterprises and all its component
• Best practices regarding system security measures

 Infrastructure Technical Lead advanced proficiency in:

• Setup, Administration, and Management of Cloud/Hybrid Cloud technologies and solutions (Azure hosting, ASR, AFS, Azure AD, Express route, Intune, Automation etc.)
• Configuration and Administration of Microsoft Exchange On-Premise / Online / Hybrid Environments including migration techniques and strategies
• Operation and administration of Windows operating system environments, both servers and workstations hosted on bare-metal and virtualised infrastructure
• SQL setup, administration and standardisation particularly in dense SQL cluster environments

Education

University degree in the field of Engineering / IT or related discipline or related equivalent experience
