The Oil and Gas Client in Perth CBD are currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join them for a 12-month Contract.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Install and provisioning of IT hardware (servers, network devices/switches, telephony systems, printers, desktop/laptop computers, storage, backup tape library, mobile devices, video conferencing terminals, cabling) and their maintenance. Perform periodic health check of critical infrastructure devices like servers, storage, and network devices.
  • Install applications and software including the deployment of standard build.
  • Perform helpdesk support to users and tasks assigned by ServiceNow service delivery management and by the Area ICT Coordinator. Assist users and Corporate IT support towers in the resolution of service/incident requests logged in ServiceNow when necessary.
  • Interface with relevant IT support in the implementation/management of infrastructure change requests.
  • Development/updating of IT work instructions aligning to the standard set by the Corporate ITD function and Quality Management System.
  • IT Risk Management.
  • Service continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Development/updating of Project IT Plan.
  • ICT/Project ICT budget forecast/costing.
  • Provisioning of IT support to vessels in the country when required.
  • Coordinating with Procurement Department in the provisioning of IT hardware and services on the technical requirements and assessment.
Skills and Experience required:
  • Graduate of IT related course.
  • Working knowledge on Microsoft Active Directory, networking protocols, WAN/LAN, virtualization (VMWare), Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office platforms, O365, Service Delivery Ticketing Systems (ServiceNow), Cloud computing, hardware troubleshooting, Network Printing technologies, Video Conferencing platforms, IoT (Internet of Things).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural, high pressure and fast-pace environment (is a plus).
  • Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL certifications (an advantage but not required).
