Mid-Level Designer / Australia

An opportunity has opened with a national-wide design studio. The clients specialize in creating functional multidisciplinary spaces.  They are looking for someone that shares the same passion for design. The client is expanding across the country, and they are wanting to grow their  team. This role will give the experience to be hands-on, and be mentored by some great senior interior designers, as well as the opportunity for career progression.
 
What you'll be doing:

• Be a part of creative projects, pitching, and work alongside some superb Senior interior designers who will mentors you to become a successful interior designer.
• Develop designs that suit both the client and the characteristics of a building or space
• Help with the preparation of all design submissions and documentation, coordinating with senior designers and additional design support may be required
• Meeting with clients and other tradespeople.
• Developing designs according to a brief that are functional, appealing, and appropriate for the space
• Using design software to create floor plans, 3D models, visuals, and presentation submissions
• Ensure all designs proposed are compliant and work towards ‘best practice’

   REQUIREMENTS:

• Mid-level with at least 4 years’ experience
• Experience in all aspects of the project – concept design/documentation/ on-site collaboration with trades
• Strong presentation skills
• Workplace / office fitout experience 
• Strong ability to work on multiple projects at one time
• An understanding of building construction
• Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite
