Project Manager - Electric Utility Scale Solar - Germany
Client profile: successfully developing and implementing renewable energy projects. This is across project development, financing, construction, operational management and maintenance of wind and solar farms, battery, and hydrogen projects.
Responsibilities
- Single point of contact within Solar division as interface with other departments
- Budgetary and detailed project cost calculations
- Support to define specifications of electrical components like transformer station, central inverter etc.
- Draft scope of work and appoint subcontractors
- Provide support and guidance to the Construction Site Managers
- Perform site visits to ensure contractual compliance and best quality of the works
- Supervise electrical works on site including energisation and commissioning
Qualifications
- Degree in in electrical engineering or similar educational background
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the solar sector, preferably in relation to utility-scale, free-field plants
- Familiar with specifications of electrical substations, inverter, and project specific optimisation
- Familiar with the relevant electrical standards applicable for utility scale solar farms
- Practical experience with medium voltage systems, authorised person for medium voltage switching is a plus
- Leadership experience, negotiation skills, and a confident demeanour in international contexts
- Business fluent in English and German; additional languages would be an asset
- Flexible attitude with the ability to travel to various site locations worldwide
Location: Wiesbaden - Germany
Salary Package: 50,000 to 70,000 euros per annum
