Operations Manager (EXPATS ONLY)

Job Summary:

An Operations Manager is a professional in managing smooth Operation of Oil and Gas field with day to day activities and can mitigate all risks and delivery plans as per schedule. Operations Manager is responsible for Safe, Reliable, and Efficient operations with focusing on delivery promised. The reputation of the company is one of the important items on the priority list of the Operations Manager.  The Operations Manager should implement the right processes and practices across the organization and reduce plant downtime. The specific duties of an operations Manager include formulating near term strategy, improving performance, managing material and resources for work execution, and securing compliance. Operations Manager should endure capability and mentor team members, find ways to increase the quality of customer service, and implement best practices across all levels. Remaining compliant, efficient, and profitable during the business is one of the main focuses of the Operations Manager. The role will be hired and will report to COMPANY’s Asset General Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way;
• Understanding oil & gas operations, facility & reputational risk to make informed judgments and wise decisions to keep safety as number one priority;
• Influence by first taking the time to listen to stakeholders & customers to understand their perspectives and build relationships based on trust;
• Accountable for the Application of the Control of Work Standard at respective site;
• Build strong Oil & Gas Operations capability at respective site – (Site & Office);
• Embed Continuous Improvement culture at respective operations function - (Site & Office);
• Support COMPANY global strategy together with other assets;
• Deploy COMPANY global Operations strategy in the respective asset in the line with Companyobal & asset priorities;
• Provide input to Asset operations plan;
• Manage Operations contractors;
• Develop Operations performance KPIs and support reporting & analyzing them to achieve Safe, Reliable, and Cost-Efficient operation;
• Ensure production loses are investigated, reported and addressed (human related or plant related);
• Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices;
• Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency;
• Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant;
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives;
• Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability;
• Manage budgets and forecasts;
• Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs;
• Recruit, train and supervise staff;
• Manage budgets and forecasts.

Knowledge / Experience

• Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role in oil & gas industry - onshore or offshore;
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management;
• Experience in budgeting / forecasting;
• Knowledge of HSE regulations and standards;
• Understanding of Planning, Performance, KPI and Cost-efficient operation mode;
• Leadership ability;
• Troubleshooting experience;
• Excellent communication (speaking and writing) skills in English;
• Proven record of discipline, rationale, assertiveness and committed team player;
• Rational, assertive, driven person with high energy level.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field;
• At least 8+ years of managerial experience in oil industry.
• Bilingual English / Full professional
