Director of Wind Development / US

The renewables market is booming, there are some wonderful opportunities out there right now and this role, Director of Wind Development, falls directly into this bracket.
The company are relatively small but they are backed by significant funds. They are in the market for a Director of Wind Development. Ideally the candidate will have exposure to onshore wind development in the upper midwest. However, exposure to utility scale renewable developments (solar/storage) would also be cross comparable.

I would suggest this role would suit someone from a major company background that have reached the Director level but can't see that next stage. At this company you will be part of the steering committee and be able to directly influence the company's destiny.

In this role you will oversee a team of at least 8 developers supporting development of 3-5 active development projects.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Project schedules
• Budgeting
• Progress tracking
• Project finance
• Off-take
• Resource Assessment
• Interconnection concepts
• Site Control Management
• Local/State/Federal Permitting
• Environmental diligence/issues/mitigation
• Regulatory awareness
• Preconstruction Layout & Design
