Contract Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
The Contract Manager is responsible for contract development and administration for the GPO, IDN and Hospital channels. This entails managing and administering contracts terms and conditions, contract bid and award processing and the monitoring of contract compliance.
Works closely with cross-functional teams (account managers, contract team colleagues, legal, compliance, and others) to ensure proposals are legally compliant and proposals are structured to be consistent with company strategies and processes.
Role responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Drafting, reviewing/editing, and negotiating of contract documents (agreements, amendments, and renewals)
- Developing and maintaining the tracking of all contract terms (requirements, provisions, etc.) for various internal reporting needs
- Timely review, approval, implementation, and follow-through of assigned contract proposals
- Perform activities relating to price actions, product launches, and product changes (adds/deletes) notifications
- Ensure that the contract is complete, accurate and all risks have been identified to the business owner and the proper reviews/approvals completed prior to execution
- Prepare contract summary sheets and work closely with Contract Operations team to ensure seamless transition of executed contract documentation to implementation
- Triage contract interpretation questions and escalate as appropriate
- Create and publish metric reports for senior management
- Maintenance of contract records/files and monitor retention for contract documentations
- Respond to the information needs of fields and customer service
- Support ad hoc and special projects
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Contract Development and Lifecycle Management
- Strong redlining and negotiation skills are required
- Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Industry Experience preferred
- Must exhibit an understanding of legal contract concepts and negotiation strategies
Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Word and Adobe
- Knowledge and use of ModelN/Revitas
- Good communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and change
- Have Strong strategic, analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate and communicate across several departments
