As a Senior/Principal Rail Engineer role you will contribute to the delivery and management of project work while working within a team of engineering professionals. You will provide technical leadership to professional and technical staff on complex, large scale projects that deliver high standard outcomes for key clients.

About the role:
As a Senior/Principal Rail Engineer role you will contribute to the delivery and management of project work while working within a team of engineering professionals. You will provide technical leadership to professional and technical staff on complex, large scale projects that deliver high standard outcomes for key clients.
- Provide high quality service to internal and/or external customers in all areas of responsibility.
- Lead production of deliverables in the areas of railway track and civil engineering and undertake deliverables planning, production, review and checking as required.
- Participate in inter-disciplinary design development and review processes and provide rail specific input to disciplines such as structures, civil, buildings and specialisms such as system engineering, noise and vibration, interface studies.
- Assist in the development of colleagues by applying high level of technical skill.
- Develop and maintain client relationships at the project level.
- Relevant tertiary engineering qualification, membership of a relevant professional institution and or Chartered Professional Engineer.
- 5-10+ years experience in railway permanent way, track and civil engineering areas.
- Knowledge of various engineering elements of a fully functional railway, including electrified passenger railway and/or pit to port heavy haul railway.
- Excellent analytic and problem solving skills.
