BWI Construction Engineer

This position will be Perth based for Q1 and Q1 before transitioning to Barrow in Q3

The Client has an exciting opportunity for an onsite BWI Construction Engineer to join the Capital Projects team. Reporting to the Delivery Lead, the role will be Perth based Q1 and Q2 2023 before transitioning to Barrow Island Q3 2023 to oversee Execution activities related to construction of the DE Pressure Management Project.

We are looking for a BWI Construction Engineer who will manage all aspects of deconstruction of current facilities and construction of new facilities on BWI related to the DE Pressure Management Project.

Additionally, the BWI Construction Engineer will:
•Provide leadership to achieve an Incident and Injury Free Workplace
•Support the development of plans, work processes and participate in reviews/workshops that support the Deconstruction, Early Works and New Facility construction scope that will be implemented onsite
•Manage execution of multiple work fronts on Barrow Island for the project in accordance with project plans
•Lead a cross functional team during site execution to ensure that the facility is installed as per design
•Define key job responsibilities of contractors and manage resources jointly with the contractor to ensure org capability is maintained
•Works closely with other functions to ensure projects are completed safely, timely, cost effectively, and are of desired quality

To be considered for this role, it would be advantageous for applicant to have:
•Engineering Degree or equivalent
•Strong Safety mindset aligned with IIF care and concern values
•10+ years of multi discipline construction experience managing contractors
•Experience in working with production and maintenance teams on brownfields project engineering scope
•Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to One Team culture
•Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills are essential
•Creative, pragmatic, open-minded thinking and can-do attitude
