Contract: Warehouse Technician / Newcastle

The client, a global oilfield services company, are looking to hire 3x Warehouse Technicians on 12 month PAYE contracts. These positions will be based at their site in Walker Riverside, Newcastle. There may be scope for extension to the contract duration, dependent on business needs. 

As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Complying with all safety instructions, promoting individual and team safety.
• Identifying and reporting all safety concerns, quality issues and warehouse problems before progressing any work.
• Ensuring company policies, procedures and operating instructions are followed.
• Move material, offloading and perform put away operations in the warehouse, transact material using a hand-held scanner.
• Picking and Packing Products.
• Complete daily cycle counts to measure, monitor, and ensure the accuracy of the inventory to support both operational and financial control, using a hand-held scanner.
• Conduct investigations into causes of variances and communicate corrective actions required.
• Complete daily cycle counts to a pre-determined plan, making sure that the count is accurate.
• Investigate root causes of variances identified during the cycle count, and report any variance requiring corrective actions.
• Complete stock adjustments as per cycle count results.

Hourly rate: £12.40 (£13.90 inclusive of holiday pay)

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred and exposure to driving a forklift is beneficial, however, full training will be provided.

Hours of work will be 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm, with the potential for optional overtime.
