Construction Manager / Australia

Seeking a talented and experienced Construction Manager to work on-site leading a large-scale substation project in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in the construction field and a proven track record of on-site management of large-scale renewable energy projects – nationwide.  

This is an opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the Construction of one of the largest substation projects in the southern hemisphere.

Key Responsibilities for the Construction Manager:

• Take full responsibility for the site.
• Oversee adherence to the Management Plan while on site.
• Demonstrate robust management and leadership skills on the site.
• Communicate effectively and clearly with all stakeholders.
• Ensuring that work areas, methods, materials, and equipment meet Environmental and WHS regulations and standards through inspections and tests.
• Inspecting subcontractor completed works and signing off ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans).
• Deliver high-quality outcomes that satisfy the customer.
• Ensure strong team morale on site.
• High levels of job satisfaction in your Team.  

• Experience in a similar role in large-scale HV Substations and EPC environment
• Electrical Construction Managers license to perform electrical works in Victoria – to remain valid throughout the duration of the Works.
• Qualifications and electrical licenses of all electricians who will be performing work on site.
• SWMS to be provided in accordance with relevant WHSE requirements.
• Comfortable working autonomously with minimal micro-management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
