Data Architect / United Kingdom

Data Architect – Permanent – Lancashire or Hampshire (1 day on site per week)

Essential:-  Some knowledge of data architecture best practices & design patterns. Solid background in BI either as a Developer, Designer or Data Engineer. Experience in designing complex, distributed, secure & scalable architecture solutions within complex organisations. Experience with SAP HANA & BW. Data Modelling hands-on expertise. Experience with high-scale, high-volume relational databases, & SQL language. Frontend skills such as Qlikview & Power BI – Major advantage. BSc Computer Science/Data Management or equivalent

 

This successful applicant will be responsible for the redesign & restructuring of our current Data Architecture & carry out data modelling to meet the demands of the business & promote best practice across the Group.

 Data Architect Key Responsibilities

• Architect & build a highly scalable data pipeline for diversified & complex data flows
• Guide our BI Developers by setting technical directions & providing standards, architectural governance, design patterns, & practices
• Influence our Analytical solution roadmap strategy & coordinate it with the architecture vision
• Proactively identify gaps in data consumption & define processes to complete them
• Work closely with tech teams on the design & implementation of data solutions.
• Work closely with the business process team & be part of designing a new data model, which will support both Reporting & Analytical based use cases

 

Data Architect Essential Requirements:

• Experience with SAP HANA & BW
• Data Modelling hands-on expertise
• Experience with high-scale, high-volume relational databases, & SQL language
• Frontend skills such as Qlikview & Power BI – Major advantage
• BSc Computer Science/Data Management or equivalent
• Experience with workflows & data processing pipelines
• In-depth understanding of database management systems & ETL/ELT framework

 

Data Architect Experience:

• At least 8 years of relevant experience as BI developer / BI designer / Data engineer
• Strong knowledge of architecture best practices & design patterns
• Proven experience of conducting technical workshops, presenting technical solutions, preparing architecture guidelines & technical strategy documents
• Experience in designing complex, distributed, secure & scalable architecture solutions within complex organisations.
• Experience with SAP HANA & BW
• Data Modelling hands-on expertise
• Experience with high-scale, high-volume relational databases, & SQL language
• Frontend skills such as Qlikview & Power BI – Major advantage
• BSc Computer Science/Data Management or equivalent
