Key Deliverables:
- Lead the vendor planning team and supporting purchasing colleagues to:
- Ensure receipt of outstanding parts for prototype vehicle builds at Crewe and external suppliers in the required quantities and at the required time
- Ensure delivery of sub-assembly parts to suppliers to the build schedule
- Ensure delivery of parts supply plans developed as countermeasures for parts shortages
- Get delivery commitments from internal/external suppliers for outstanding parts and track delivery
- Establish and maintain schedules for JIT parts
- Gain improved confidence in integrity of data and reports and consequently the availability of parts
- Implement management reporting of parts status (car by car)
- Solve problems where delivery timing is a risk/impact on the build
- Advanced cross functional problem solving skills to deal with critical issues
- Leadership competence to organise the team
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with processes and accuracy of data generated by the team
- Analytical competency to identify problems and escalate appropriately
- Ability to identify and resolve process issues and resolve
