Contract: Senior Buyer / Norway

On behalf of Aker Solutions, we are looking for an Senior Buyer to help us on a Topside Greenfield project.

Start: 100 % position, 1 year contract start ASAP. Candidates who can start soon will be prioritized.

Work Location: Preferable Oslo, Stavanger might be an option

Due to the current pandemic restrictions, only candidates that are already located in Norway can be considered for this assignment.


What will you be doing?

• Sourcing and pre-qualification of potential suppliers 
• Prepare and issue enquiries 
• Ensure technical and commercial awareness in the procurement processes 
• Negotiate contracts and purchase orders Prepare and develop procurement plans for all purchases 
• Ensure timely deliveries and correct quality in accordance with agreed budget and schedule
• Ensure that all activities related to the procurement work are performed according to established procedures, guidelines and business policy
• Follow-up, control and report progress on contracts, including field and desk expediting
• Develop and maintain supplier relations

We think you should have some of the following:

• At least BSc. Degree in relevant subjects.
• 5+ years of experience with complex procurement scope on EPC projects Multi-discipline understanding and commercial skills 
• Good understanding of customer needs Team-player attitude 
• Solid command of the English language, both written and spoken 
• Good communication and presentation skills 
• Strong work ethics and proactive attitude 
• Flexible and solution-oriented mindset
