The valued client is seeking a Turnaround Coordinator in Northern Alberta for a yearly contract.  This position will commence in January 2022, working a 4 on/3 off shift, 10 hours per day.


Junior Turnaround Mechanical Planner:  Reporting to the Turnaround Planning Supervisor your primary accountability will be to ensure all rotating equipment work related to Turnaround are planned for Upgrading & Utilities and ensuring expectations are being met by all parties involved.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide preliminary estimates for work scope items to support the early budgetary and schedule estimates
  • Provide input for step listing development & P6 Schedule review
  • Perform job walk / site verifications to ensure job packages are fully complete and satisfactory including all support Craft requirements
  • Develop Planning work packages for Turnaround & Outage events
  • Create Field Execution Plans (FEP) for assigned Scope of work
  • Identify & list out resources required for all related scopes including parts, labor, equipment, materials, special tools, procedures, critical lifts, documents, and specialty contract services.
  • Work with the Planning Supervisor and/or Coordinators to assign Level of Complexity to the jobs
  • Ensure all necessary updates and revisions to procedures and other documents are done (delegate as necessary through the Field Coordinators)
  • Develop Staging plan for required material, tools, and equipment
  • Develop execution strategy and work closely with Execution
  • Be a part of execution team during the execution window
  • Technical sound to deal with OEM and Vendors
 
Minimum Requirements:  
  • Must have four to six plus years related experience
  • Mechanical Engineering diploma or degree required or a red seal trade certificate, or mechanical technologist with proven knowledge of mechanical trade in a maintenance planning position.
  • Grade 12 or GED preferred
  • Must be mechanically proficient and have a good understanding of Compressors, Turbines and Pumps
  • Reliability background will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of routine maintenance, reliability, and turnaround practices, performances measures, scheduling tools and techniques
  • Sound knowledge of computer software and applications is preferred.
  • Possess excellent organization, proactive mindset, time management, and communication skills.
