The client is looking for a Hardware Design Engineer DCS for a contract based in St. Neots, 6 months duration

Responsibilities

DCS Hardware engineer who provides technical leadership
Actively contributes in the pre-engineering phase of a project
Review and influence customer specifications to assure compliance
Participate Engineering review activity for the projects periodically to identify gaps to decide the corrective actions to ensure On time delivery
The engineer must be able to effectively communicate with customers, and team members to recommend potential quality and efficiency improvements, share technical knowledge and report technical problems
Knowledge of industry standards related to DCS Hardware implementation
Willingness to travel to client sites
Undertake site surveys, confirm accuracy of existing documentation
Attend customer meetings such as the kick - off, progress meetings, technical clarifications, queries, close out and lesson learned sessions
Produce Detail Design Specifications (including detail layout drawings, electrical design schematics, power and heat calculations, equipment and wiring schedules).
Demonstrate a personal continuous improvement by maintaining a working knowledge of current industry specific technology
Good communication skills, loyalty, enthusiasm, team working and diplomacy
