Contract: Reliability Engineer – Technologist / Calgary

 

The valued client is seeking a Reliability Engineer – Technologist for a 1 year contract in Calgary, AB. This is a Monday to Friday role, working 40 hours per week.  Candidates must be local to Calgary or willing to relocate.

 

Summary:

Reporting to the Manger, Reliability Engineering, the Reliability Engineer / Technologist will be responsible to support the development of Asset Care initiatives for a specific scope of downstream assets. Specific initiatives include development of equipment maintenance strategies and support equipment criticality assessments.

 

Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities within the Asset Care initiative include to manage asset maintenance program to ensure preventative and/or predictive maintenance plans are in place to for Safety Critical Elements and Production critical equipment:

· Selection and assignment of applicable maintenance strategy for equipment

· Development of PM program, including maintenance items, plans, sequencing, and task lists

· Support in assessment of equipment criticality

 

Qualifications

· 5+ years’ experience working in a team environment for maintenance program development and related reliability initiatives for rotating, mechanical, and electrical equipment as well as Safety Critical Elements. Specific experience with refineries, upgraders, and terminals would be an asset.

· Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP) and strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Excel

· Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance, FME(C)A, equipment criticality analysis, asset maintenance strategies, and MRO BOMs/spare parts would be an asset

· Experience with the use of PFDs, P&IDs and/or SLDs and Downstream production processes
