Job Title: Accountant
Location: Calgary, AB
Contract Length: 12 months with possible extension

Responsibilities:

Monthly accounting, journal entries, reporting & analysis
Budget planning, reporting and forecasting support, including variance analysis
Monitor actuals and forecasts against budget and liaise with functional groups and headquarters as needed.
Completing various financial reporting schedules, account reconciliations & analysis
Prepare and coordinate intercompany invoicing and settlements
Responsible for preparing Allocation model and key contact for allocation queries from Business Units and Tax
Preparation & coordination of legal entity financial statements
Preparation & reporting of various surveys
Continually assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting and support provided
Ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:

University Degree and a Professional Finance or Accounting Designation preferred
Minimum five years of experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with flexibility to adhere to deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Strong preparation and documentation skills
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
Self-motivated; ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Experience working with SAP would be an asset
