Engineering Systems Design Tools
- Responsible for the administrating, running and managing SmartPlant P&ID, support other 2D tools (SmartPlant Instrumentation- SPI and SmartPlant Electrical – SPEL) for Operations and brownfield projects.
- Liaise with Chevron IT and Engineering Service Providers (ESP) to establish uninterrupted access to SmartPlant 2D tools.
- Develop procedures, standards and best practices to manage engineering information and ensure content remains relevant and up to date.
- Advocate use of SmartPlant 2D tools to support Operation activities.
- Develop and provide customized reports to FE and Operations.
- Develop and provide regular SmartPlant 2D exports to other systems e.g. Engineering Data Warehouse.
- Prioritize and develop enhancements to increase the efficiency within SmartPlant 2D tools
- Investigate and support issue resolution and escalate as required. Provide solutions or workarounds when required.
- Coordinate the handover of engineering systems information from Major Capital Projects (MCP) and Phase 5 ESP to Operations, ensuring that it is valid and complete.
Foster and support ABU FE information management best practice
- Contribute to common and aligned vision throughout company's Australia Business Unit (ABU) for FE information management with ongoing targeted awareness, communications and promotions.
- Contribute to regular governance activities for FE information collections and FE information management tools/processes;
- Compliance monitoring and auditing
- SmartPlant 2D tools licence management.
- QA/QC activities to support information completeness and integrity
- SmartPlant 2D tools housekeeping, business reporting, monitoring
- Incident monitoring and reporting
- Identification and execution of continual improvement measures
- Performance measurement e.g. benchmarking and customer satisfaction / follow-up surveys
Training and Coaching
- Contribute to overall FE Digital Asset Team (DAT) training program.
- Deliver hands on process, products and tool training and coaching to users.
- Ensure Design system training and support content remains relevant and up to date.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years experience with 2D tools
- Oil and Gas experience preferred
