Project Manager - Electric Utility Scale Solar - Germany

Client profile: successfully developing and implementing renewable energy projects. This is across project development, financing, construction, operational management and maintenance of wind and solar farms, battery, and hydrogen projects.

Responsibilities

• Single point of contact within Solar division as interface with other departments
• Budgetary and detailed project cost calculations
• Support to define specifications of electrical components like transformer station, central inverter etc.
• Draft scope of work and appoint subcontractors
• Provide support and guidance to the Construction Site Managers
• Perform site visits to ensure contractual compliance and best quality of the works
• Supervise electrical works on site including energisation and commissioning

Qualifications

• Degree in in electrical engineering or similar educational background
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the solar sector, preferably in relation to utility-scale, free-field plants
• Familiar with specifications of electrical substations, inverter, and project specific optimisation
• Familiar with the relevant electrical standards applicable for utility scale solar farms
• Practical experience with medium voltage systems, authorised person for medium voltage switching is a plus
• Leadership experience, negotiation skills, and a confident demeanour in international contexts
• Business fluent in English and German; additional languages would be an asset
• Flexible attitude with the ability to travel to various site locations worldwide

Location: Wiesbaden - Germany

Salary Package: 50,000 to 70,000 euros per annum
