- Support the Phase 2 Commissioning Lead with the planning and coordination of project execution.
- Oversee and administer Contractors use of Completion System- ICAPS.
- Review EPC contractors ICAPS build and ensure alignment with Brownfield Commissioning ICAPS build and best practice.
- Gain understanding of completion system guidelines and manuals and ensure knowledge of the EPC Contractor processes and the Brownfield Commissioning systems and processes.
- Review and align with the Phase 2b Commissioning Strategy and add any lessons/experience prior to mobilization to fabrication yard.
- Review sub system based CCLBD and support integration into the P6 plan.
- Ensure that Completion system milestones are in line with the p6 planning. Review Contractor / Supplier documentation in a prioritised manner.
- To assist to deliver the Booster Compressor Module in accordance with the project schedule and budget, meeting the requirements of the project in relation to safety, quality, reliability, operability and maintainability.
- Lead the client site discipline commissioning engineers with direction on commissioning milestones and short-term targets in line with P6 plan.
- Supervise/witness the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for the EPC Contractor during the various phases of the Contract.
- As far as practical, focus on achieving maximum In-Yard Commissioning for the BCM to minimize the offshore scope of work.
- Ensure proper coordination of all BCM In-Yard Commissioning activities in line with preparation of operation activities for first gas.
- Ensures that all requirements of OPERCOM are met and recorded.
- Ensures the integrity and management of the Punch List and check sheet activities in ICAPS (Company assurance)
- Company focal for initial review of the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning dossiers.
- Define adequate reporting to support EPC Contractor with the Pre-Commissioning and the Commissioning activities.
- Punch List progress reporting and checksheet progress reporting to Perth Management and Phase 2b Commissioning team.
- Focal point for assessment and acceptance of yard carryover scope.
- Set up a technical plan describing key activities and defining critical path. Work with Fabrication Yard Planner to re-sequence activities as required to ensure critical path and RFSU milestones are met.
- Participation in site management meetings as required/necessary.
- Ensure all activities are performed according to planned schedule.
Team Work
- The candidate is expected to work collaboratively with other Phase 2b team members, support organizations and consultants alike.
- Foster a teamwork approach within the Phase 2B EPC Contractor team and interface with Operations team for handover of projects/equipment.
- Proactively adhere to and promote client and company’s workplace values and behaviors, exercising tolerance and respect for diversity.
- Ensure effective coordination with all team members including all ICHTHYS project entities and if applicable PMS contractors.
- Tertiary Engineering Degree and/or relevant industry/professional experience.
- Minimum 15 years-experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with 10 years’ experience of construction and commissioning supervision and management on oil & gas projects.
- Experience with delivery management of 3rd party service providers / Contractors and an in-depth understanding of how projects are structured and function, especially post-EPC award
- Highly competent, motivated person with good interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Able to diplomatically manage ambiguity, conflict, and uncertainty in a culturally diverse environment.
- High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, pre-commissioning, installation, hook-up and commissioning of oil & gas facilities.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written and the ability to influence a wide range of senior stakeholders to successfully support the objectives and outcomes of this role.
- Well-developed leadership and decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge of:
- Upstream facility technologies - offshore processing facilities, compressors, vessels, instrumented valves, etc.
- Engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, hook-up, and commissioning.
- OPERCOM and ICAPS Commissioning Management System.
- Wider assurance issues, quality, safety, preservation etc…
