Contract: Production Engineer / Brisbane

This role is an office based, 12-month contract with an attractive day rate. This position will be responsible for production technology development on sub surface operations across a large portfolio CSG wells in Surat Basin. You will also support well abandonment planning and execution activities, as well as supporting new well design with a focus on sand-face completion, artificial lift and new technology trials.

Job Requirements:

• Support sub surface design, integrity, well abandonment and overall asset improvement for upstream operations
• Responsible for subsurface barrier compliance through the entire well life cycle
• Accountable for timely delivery of Technical Reviews/risk assessments, including well integrity reviews, early life failure (ELF) analysis, cement compliance evaluation, etc with understanding of factors that triggers Management of Change (MoC)
• Responsible for safety critical element (SCE) maintenance deferrals and deviations.
• Maintains and supports various digital tools and dashboards for well integrity.
• Development, Projects, Operations and Wells teams.

 
About You:

• Engineering degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or another technical related discipline.
• Experience in production operations, well engineering, process engineering, production technology or reservoir engineering is an advantage.
• Knowledge of process for recording Well Integrity compliance, both preventive and corrective – Annular Pressure Maintenance (APM), Well integrity Tests (WITs) and Sub surface Integrity Tests (SITs)
• Ability to become Well Integrity Focal Point within 2 years of joining the team.
• User/Knowledge of eWIMS and Power BI highly desired
