The client, a fast-growing technology licensor making advancements in the Oil & Gas sector, has a permanent opportunity for a Process & Systems Engineer to be based in Houston, TX.

Position Summary
The role is a ‘hands on’ position, requiring the role holder to fully immerse themselves into all aspects of PDP. The position calls for the provision of succession capacity to the existing process team, together with supporting the front-end engineering definition (FEED) and other related project delivery activities within the portfolio.
Regularly working on multiple projects simultaneously, the successful candidate will possess demonstrable experience of supporting PDP development, pilot plant design and fabrication, together with ongoing front-end project development, to include the transitioning tasks related to FEED and EPC. Furthermore, you will be able to interpret internal and external client objectives and goals with the ability to implement the objectives in a cost effective and timely manner.

Responsibilities
- Support PDP development, pilot plant design and fabrication, and ongoing front end project development; transitioning work into Front End Engineering Definition (FEED) and EPC
- Direct experience with supporting FEED, Detailed Design, and EPC processes
- Generate, calculate, and correlate data to assist process and project engineers in performing required engineering functions
- Develop PDP Process deliverables in support of the Process Design Basis and Process Design Criteria
- Maintain awareness of cost impacts related to process design and take appropriate action
- Understand internal and external client objectives and goals and implement these objectives and goals in all aspects of work
- Routinely work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Contact and consult with other engineering disciplines within the Company in addition to process engineers and supervisors
- Perform basic process engineering assignments, under the guidance of process of engineering management, to include, but not limited to the following
- Design process equipment such as pumps, tanks, vessels
- Process simulations
- Conduct hydraulic studies
- Develop process control narratives
- Create new and updated PFDs and P&IDs
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 2-5 Years process enigneering experience preferred
- Engineer in Training Status or Professional License preferred
- Robust demonstrable experience of task related technical knowledge
- Strong attention to detail with ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines
- Effective communicator with the ability to explain the technical to the non technical individual
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office to include O365, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- IT literate with the ability to use discipline specific software
