Contract: Electrical Engineer / Chorley

Qualifications and professional memberships:

Required:

• Incorporated Engineer with membership of a professional engineering body/institution.

 

Preferred:

• Degree level qualification (or demonstrable equivalent knowledge) in a relevant engineering discipline.

Skills and experience required:

• 3 years’ experience working in design engineering.

- Demonstrable experience working within a highly regulated industry, preferably
nuclear.


- Ability to function within an engineering team in the definition, implementation and
delivery of engineering work packages.


- Awareness of the NEC suite of contracts, change control methodology, and
common Project Management practices

 

Accountabilities:

When acting as Engineering Lead for the project or work package:

• Quality of assigned engineering deliverables.

-    Compliance of assigned engineering deliverables with customer technical
requirements and company procedures

 

Responsibilities:

When acting as Engineering Lead for the project or work package:

1. Translating user requirements and technical specifications into concept
designs and fully engineered design solutions, either working on an
individual basis or as the leader of a small team of engineers and
designers.
2. Planning and executing engineering and design activities.
3. Production of engineering documentation.
4. Production of design substantiation and scoping calculations.
5. Production of engineering drawings.
6. Undertaking technical reviews and risk assessments.
