Document Controller –
Currently seeking Intermediate - Senior Document Controller
The Role:
Working from Calgary office Tuesday – Thursday and from home if desired, Mondays and Fridays.
• Provide comprehensive document control services for all Projects; Engineering and Construction, Management of Change (MOC), Operations, or other projects, through the enterprise document management system (EDMS), or other systems for older in-flight projects to Project Management Teams, multiple business units and various EPC’s.
• Organize, prioritize, carry out quality checks and distribute project deliverables including vendor documentation from Contractor through the (EDMS). Ensure the quality and service levels provided to the Project Management Team and stakeholders are consistently professional, efficient and effective.
• Liaise with Project Management Team, Business Units and the Document Controller team on day-to-day activities.
• Assist the Project Manager with the development of Document Distribution Matrix (DDM) from Contractor’s Approved Deliverable Register (MDR) and follow the approved DDM throughout the project.
• Generate and issue weekly overdue/status reports related to project documents/drawings, vendor documents to Document Control Supervisor and Project Manager and carry out follow-up action as required.
• Perform review of project final documentation for Project Management Team acceptance and distribution systems of record.
• Carry out archiving of project documents as required.
• Participate in Quality Audits and other Internal and Externals Audits.
• Assist with training and developing materials for in house and contractor use.
• Provide document numbers upon request.
• Accept, quality check, and distribute deliverables.
• Transmit documentation via transmittal to third parties. • Perform squad checks in Bluebeam.
• Understand Document Control function from inception of a project to close of project and beyond.
What you bring to the table:

• Minimum of 5+ yrs. (int) hands-on experience in project document control during execution of FEED, Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning projects in the Oil and Gas industry from an owner perspective.
• Adequate exposure to computerized document control systems for project, engineering, and corporate documentation.
• Experience with Hexagon SDx and McLaren is considered an asset.
• Solid understanding of Information lifecycle
• Intermediate to Senior experience with SharePoint, McLaren and Bluebeam applications is desired.
• Excellent team player and willingness to learn.
• Nimble and accepting of change.
• Good standard of written and verbal English.
