Assistant Quantity Surveyor, West Midlands / England

Client is a leading specialist sub-contractor, part of a larger Tier 1 major civil engineering group. Due to exceptional growth across the UK, they are urgently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the West Midlands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Measuring, recording, and valuing civil engineering works
• Measuring and interpreting specifications and drawings
• Building up estimates from first principle, including net and gross estimates
• Reviewing weekly, monthly, and sections of the programmes of works
• Preparing cost reconciliation statements
• Collecting information required to specify procurement requirements
• Recording and documenting information including registrations of interest

PROFILE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering industry
• Ideally chartered or working towards chartership with RICS, ICE, or CIOB
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The right to live and work in the UK
