  • Position: Leadership Development Manager
    Job Purpose: Lead the implementation of Leadership Development initiatives to cultivate senior leaders in alignment with business objectives, workforce needs, and nationalization strategies.
    Job Context & Major Challenge(s): The role involves strategically driving and aligning leadership development efforts to ensure leaders are equipped to navigate current and future business challenges. Additionally, maintaining Leadership Development practices in line with industry standards presents a significant challenge.
    The incumbent must demonstrate proficiency in managing Digital Transformation and Data Analytics, strategic thinking to synchronize with business and national strategies, and fostering internal and external networks to adapt to evolving business dynamics and organizational priorities.
    Navigating passive resistance from expatriate employees regarding Qatarization initiatives poses a challenge, especially when grooming high-potential nationals for critical roles within the organization.
    Key Job Accountabilities - I:
    1. Lead the preparation of annual budget estimates for Leadership Development activities, offering recommendations and support to the Head of Training and Education. Monitor training costs and statistics to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
    2. Oversee the establishment and execution of training contracts, as well as procurement processes for all training activities.
    3. Provide guidance and support to the Training & Education focal person on various training-related tasks, including contract management, logistics, materials, and evaluation processes.
    4. Develop the Company's Annual Leadership Development Plan based on talent pool assessments, succession planning, and leadership competency gap analyses, while advising on the suitability of external and internal leadership training courses.
    Key Job Accountabilities - II:
    1. Assist the Training & Education focal person in developing and maintaining leadership development materials, ensuring program objectives are met within specified timelines and budgetary limits.
    2. Evaluate talent and leadership development processes to assess their efficiency, effectiveness, and contribution to organizational goals.
    3. Design and deliver leadership development programs, including training sessions, 360-degree feedback assessments, psychometric evaluations, coaching, and development planning.
    4. Monitor individuals' progress against development plans, assess the impact of leadership development interventions, and provide recommendations to the Head of Training & Education.
    5. Prepare regular reports on leadership training costs and statistics and provide support for Learning & Development projects and activities.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management.
    Knowledge and/or Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in training and career development within the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
    • Demonstrated expertise in implementing best practices in leadership development, succession planning, and talent management.
